Comparative analysis on seismicity and stress triggering of strong earthquakes sequence in Central Tibet

Central Tibet constitutes part of the central Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau, which is one highest seismically active areas in China. This paper discusses regularity seismic activity this area. Based on a stratified viscoelastic earth model, we calculated Coulomb stress changes imparted from four strong earthquakes (M ? 6.3) along Bengco–southeastern piedmont Nyainqentanglha mountain fault zone region. The result shows that study area may be entering new period 2020. There was trigger between Bengco zone. post-seismic viscous relaxation effect earthquake had significant impact subsequent 6.3). In next 100 years, loading more than 1.0 MPa northwest section and Nimu segment southeastern fault. Thence, occur these segments. maximum magnitude could M6.7 years.
